FAQs

How do I enter the Monthly Millionaire giveaway?

Step 1: Register

You can do this through any of the following:

  • Through an invite in your Wealthsimple app or web account
  • By visiting the Monthly Millionaire page (wealthsimple.com/monthly-millionaire), entering your email and clicking “Register now”
  • By receiving an invitation from a Wealthsimple Business Development Representative or Advisor

Step 2: Earn entries by doing any of the following:

  • Register for Wealthsimple, open and fund an eligible personal account (min. $1), and you'll receive 500 entries.
  • Deposit or transfer money: Receive 1 entry for every $1 of net deposits.
  • Refer friends: Refer friends and earn 5,000 entries for every friend who signs up with your referral code and funds at least $100 within 30 days of joining.
  • Spin the coin: Spin the gold coin on your home screen once a day for a chance to win between 5 and 50,000 entries.
  • Direct deposit your pay: Direct deposit your paycheque to Wealthsimple to double your entries.
  • Open and fund a savings account: Fund a savings account with $1 and earn 10,000 entries
  • Set up a passkey: Set up a passkey and earn 5,000 entries
  • Reveal Streak: Reveal in Week 1, 2, and 3, and earn 10,000 entries in Week 4
  • Register for Wealthsimple Presents: Register for the Wealthsimple Presents event or scan the QR Code shown during the presentation to receive 1000 entries.

When will I find out if I won?

Participants can find out if they won in the mobile and web app every Thursday evening.

Specifically, here is when each draw and in-app reveal will take place for the November Monthly Millionaire:

  • Week 1: $250K+ in gold and cash prizes – Thursday, November 5, 2026
  • Week 2: $250K+ in gold and cash prizes – Thursday, November 12, 2026
  • Week 3: $250K+ in gold and cash prizes – Thursday, November 19, 2026
  • Week 4: $1,000,000 cash, $250K+ in gold, and cash prizes – Thursday, November 26, 2026

What type of savings account do I need to have?

To be eligible to earn 10,000 entries under this method, you will need to open and fund a minimum of $1 CAD in a personal savings account. More on this account here.

Not eligible:

  • USD savings
  • High-Interest Savings Portfolio
  • Registered savings

Note: If you already have a funded savings account with a minimum of $1 CAD in net deposits, you will earn 5,000 entries. A minimum funding of $1 CAD in net deposits must remain in this account to be eligible.

What is a passkey? / How do I set it up?

A passkey is a simpler, safer way to sign in to your account without using a password, that uses your device's biometrics

Enabling a passkey also enrols you in Wealthsimple’s account guarantee*, which protects your eligible accounts from unauthorized transactions (a transaction made through your account that you didn’t permit).
